In order to help stop the spread of the coronavirus, the CDC recommends everyone wear nonmedical face masks in public. This is especially important in settings where social distancing can be difficult, like grocery stores.
There are tons of tutorials online for making your own mask at home. If you don’t have the materials to make yourself one at home, many washable face masks can still be found online.
Tips For Selecting A Mask
For masks, you want thick, tightly woven fabrics since they are better at filtering small particles. Your mask should be both comfortable and fit tightly to your face, but it shouldn’t be so tight or so thick that you can’t breathe.
Whatever mask you make or buy, please know they work best to reduce the spread of the virus when combined with other measures, including washing your hands, remaining at home as much as possible, and staying at least six feet away from others when you have to go outside.
Please note: Given that these masks are in-demand stock is constantly fluctuating.
