Vacation is one of those brands that seems to be everywhere right now. Between the nostalgic packaging, the playful product names, and the “vacation in a bottle” vibe, it has built a devoted fan base. I decided to try several of their most popular sunscreens to see what all the hype was about.
After testing a variety of formulas for both face and body, I definitely found some favorites and some that did not quite work for me. Here is my honest experience with each one.

I have tried and tested each one of these products. These reviews are based on my specific skin type and product preferences.
Vacation SuperSpritz SPF 50
This is my absolute favorite from the line and the one I have repurchased multiple times. It is technically made for the face, but I use it all over as a touch-up throughout the day. It feels light and refreshing and gives me that extra bit of SPF protection without messing up my makeup or leaving any residue.
Would I repurchase? Yes. This one is a definite win.
Vacation Classic Whip Sunscreen Mousse SPF 30
This product looks fun, and many people love the whipped cream texture, but personally, I am not a fan of the gimmick. I would rather have a straightforward body sunscreen that is easy to apply and does not make a mess. It is a cute concept, but not something I would buy again.
Would I repurchase? No.
Vacation Classic Spray SPF 50
I go through body spray sunscreens quickly, so I usually reach for a more affordable option. This one works fine, but it is not special enough to justify the higher price tag for me.
Would I repurchase? No.
Vacation Shake Shake SPF 50 Mineral Milk
I actually like this one. It feels lightweight, blends easily, and does not leave a white cast. I reach for the SuperSpritz more often, but this is a nice alternative if you prefer a traditional lotion formula.
Would I repurchase? Yes.
Vacation Chardonnay Oil SPF 30
This one is a pass for me. I prefer higher SPF formulas since I am not trying to tan, and this oil did not give me the protection I want.
Would I repurchase? No.
Vacation SPF 30 Baby Oil
I like this one better than the Chardonnay Oil, but again, I wish it came in a higher SPF like the Supergoop Glow Oil does. It gives a nice sheen to the skin, but I do not reach for it regularly.
Would I repurchase? No.
Vacation Orange Gelée SPF 30
This was one of the most hyped launches, especially since it was inspired by the discontinued Bain de Soleil. I never tried the original, but this version did not impress me. The scent is unpleasant, and the texture is greasy, so it just did not feel good on my skin. Definitely not a keeper.
Would I repurchase? No.
Final Thoughts on Vacation Sunscreen
Aside from the SuperSpritz, which I will continue to repurchase, I feel pretty neutral about most Vacation sunscreens. The branding is undeniably fun, and I love the vintage vibe and playful marketing, but the formulas do not fully deliver.
If you love the retro aesthetic and do not mind paying a little more for the experience, you might enjoy Vacation. If you prioritize performance, high SPF protection, and value, there are better options out there.
