When I think of sunscreen, Supergoop! is the first brand that comes to mind. Why? Because they offer a sunscreen product for every inch of your body. That being said, not all of their products are created equal. Some are a must-have and some are a hard pass.

In this brand review, I will be sharing a detailed review of every Supergoop product I’ve tried. I’ll give you all the details on the texture and application. Plus I’ll let you know who I think would like each product and who might want to give it a pass.

Supergoop Brand Review

Unseen Sunscreen SPF 40 PA+++

The Unseen Sunscreen is totally invisible, weightless, scentless, with SPF 40. It is a chemical sunscreen that dries down to a natural finish.

When you squeeze this out of the bottle, it comes out as a thin and clear liquid. Feeling it on my hands, it is very slippy. That slip is not from oil but from silicone, which explains why it works so well under makeup. Overall, I really liked the Unseen Suncreen. It performed well under makeup and it worked great alone.

If you like a silicone-based primer, you will love this sunscreen. It preps the skin perfectly for makeup by giving you a smooth base. You’ll also want to consider the Unseen if you have darker skin since it doesn’t leave a white cast.

Verdict: Buy it!

Supergoop Glowscreen Sunscreen SPF 40 PA+++

Glowscreen is a hydrating, makeup-gripping primer with chemical SPF 40 and blue-light protection. It has a pearlescent finish that leaves skin luminous with a instant glow.

The Glowscreen was my very first Supergoop purchase. After hearing all the hype, I had to try it. Honestly, this stuff is amazing. It provides SPF coverage, works as a primer, and gives your makeup the best glowy look. I also tried it without makeup, but I wouldn’t suggest using it that way. The finish is just too luminous without wearing makeup over it.

I would suggest this to anyone that is looking for an SPF to wear under makeup.

Verdict: Buy it if you like a luminous makeup look.

Mineral Sheerscreen SPF 30 PA+++

This super-sheer, barely-there formula blends into the skin, leaving a smooth, natural finish. Formulated with non-nano zinc oxide, this mineral lotion provides SPF 30 protection and shields skin from blue light rays.

After the K-Beauty SPF scandal, I needed to find a new lightweight and sheer sunscreen. So as soon as this dropped at Sephora, I had to try it. I wanted to see if a mineral sunscreen could actually feel light on the face. The Sheerscreen did not dissappoint. It was truly lightweight and did not feel greasy!

This sunscreen is a must-buy, especially for those that prefer mineral SPF formulas.

Verdict: Buy it!

Supergoop PLAY Everyday Lotion SPF 50 PA++++

This ultra-moisturizing formula provides high-performance protection from UVA, UVB, and IRA rays.

When I tried this formula, I was expecting a traditional feeling sunscreen. However, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was lighter and less greasy than your average SPF. Because it a chemical sunscreen, there is no white cast. Overall, I really liked this sunscreen on the face and the body. However, like all Supergoop products, it is quite expensive. I have a hard time rationalizing paying $32 for an SPF to put on my body.

If clean is a must and you have the money, buy it. Otherwise, there are cheaper alternatives.

Verdict: Pass on it. Buy this sunscreen instead.

Glowscreen Body SPF 40 PA+++

This whipped, airy lotion helps give the body a warm, soft glow and provides broad-spectrum protection. It’s formulated with light-reflecting minerals and nourishing emollients for hydration. It’s fast-absorbing and water- and sweat-resistant.

Glowscreen for the body! I was so excited to see I could be a pale shimmery goddess at the beach this year. Then I saw the price. For SPF that I would be applying to a good portion of my body, I can’t justify spending $42 on 3.4 ounces of product.

If clean is a must, you want shimmer, and you have the money, then buy it. Otherwise, there are cheaper alternatives.

Verdict: Pass on it. Buy this cheaper option instead.

CC Screen 100% Mineral CC Cream SPF 50 PA++++

The CC Screen is a color-correcting cream with 100 percent mineral SPF 50. It is currently available in 15 different shades.

I had high hopes when I went into testing this CC cream. However, I was extremely disappointed with this product. This CC cream is so thick and heavy. It is hard to apply and looks terrible on the skin.

Verdict: Pass on it. Buy this from IT Cosmetics instead.

Shimmershade Illuminating Cream Eyeshadow SPF 30

This is a one-of-a-kind eyeshadow with both mineral and chemical sunscreen. It is currently available in 4 shades.

If you’ve been around here before, you know I am all about easy and effortless beauty. Nothing is easier than a one-and-done eyeshadow. Throw an SPF into the eyeshadow and that is even better. I purchased the shade First Light, which blends into my skin leaving just the shimmer visible.

All in all, it is perfect for those days that you want to look Insta ready while at the beach or on a hike. However, if you are looking for a super pigmented cream shadow, this is not for you.

Verdict: Buy it!

Final Thoughts On Supergoop

Overall, I really enjoy Supergoop as a brand. I highly recommend you check out their products. They truly offer a wide variety of SPF options. I have no doubt that you will find a formula that you love.

As for price, they are higher priced than your traditional drugstore sunscreens. For the most part, the higher price is warranted because their formulas are superior to the cheaper SPFs on the market. When you start to compare to La Roche Posay or Elta MD, you’ll find that the prices are comparable.

From my experience testing the products, I will be repurchasing:
