If you are reading this, you ‘ve probably seen OLEHENRIKSEN pop-up on Sephora or maybe you’ve seen the brand on Instagram and you want to learn more. Or maybe you want to know if the Phat Glow mask is an alternative for the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial.
If any of the above is true, then you are in the right place. In this post, we are going to share our favorite products from the brand and why we like them. We will even share what skin types will like each product and when to use them in your routine.
OLEHENRIKSEN Skincare Review
These reviews will be as detailed as possible so you can make an informed decision before making a purchase.
Currently, the brand has a number of collections: Truth (which includes the Banana Bright products), Balance, Transform, Nurture, and Transform Plus.
Since this a roundup of the best products from the brand, you will only find reviews for the products our team truly loved.
The Truth Collection
The OLEHENRIKSEN Truth Collection is formulated to brighten and firm the skin through the use of vitamin C.
This cleanser has a unique gel-cream consistency that is orange in color. Like all products in the Truth line, it has a strong citrus scent. A small amount of the product is all that is needed for clean and glowing skin that feels soft and not stripped.
We love to use this at night to cleanse our skin of impurities and to prep the face for the rest of our evening skincare routine. While some reviews mention that the smell is too strong, we love the refreshing citrus scent.
This is a great all around cleanser and is perfect for those with dry, normal, and oily skin.
This vitamin C serum is a thicker serum that is orange in color. Again this product from the Truth line has the signature citrus scent. This Vitamin C serum also contains collagen and aloe juice to brighten while also nourishing and hydrating the skin.
This is a great entry-level vitamin C serum that is effective yet not too hard on sensitive skin. We love that this product brightens without causing redness. We like to use this serum in the morning after cleansing but before applying moisturizer.
Anyone that is looking to venture into Vitamin C serums should try this product. It is well suited for all skin types.
This eye cream used Vitamin C, collagen, and special pigments to brighten and hydrate the skin while minimizing the appearance of dark circles. It is specially formulated to work well under makeup without pilling.
We love love love this eye cream. Our editor has been raving about this eye cream since it launched. We all love how it brightens the under-eye area. While it works well under concealer, we love it on no-makeup days too.
This is a great eye cream for those wanting to look fresh and awake. This isn’t the most hydrating eye cream, so for those with very dry skin, you may want to opt for a different cream or make sure to use a very hydrating cream at night.
The Balance Collection
The OLEHENRIKSEN Balance Collection reduces oil & refines pores without stripping the skin.
This is a lightweight mattifying moisturizer. Through the use of AHAs, BHAs, and botanicals this moisturizer helps reduce oil and minimize the appearance of pores, and improve the wear of foundation.
During the hot summer months, we love that this moisturizer keeps our faces from looking like an oil slick. We like to use this during the day before applying SPF.
This is a great moisturizer for those with oily to very oily skin. Those with normal or dry may find this moisturizer isn’t hydrating enough.
This pore-refining facial scrub is formulated with glycolic and lactic acids to deeply purify pores, and absorb excess oil. When applied to the skin the scrub gives a unique warm/cold sensation. This scrub leaves the skin feeling clean and soft.
This is hands down one of our favorite scrubs. The peppermint in the mask leaves us feeling more awake. The warm/cool sensation is equally invigorating. We like to use this scrub one to two times a week. This scrub is great to have on hand for days the skin feels congested.
While marketed towards those with combination or oily skin, we recommend this product for all skin types. It is a great scrub to gently remove impurities, reduce oil production, and help with skin turnover.
The Transform Collection
The OLEHENRIKSEN Transform Collection smooths skin and fades discoloration through exfoliation.
This brightening toner uses a high concentration of AHAs and witch hazel to reduce the look of dark spots. Along with the powerful AHAs, this toner also contains licorice root, chamomile, and sandalwood to help soothe and condition the skin.
Once we heard this was a game changer for those with discoloration and acne scars, we had to try it. Since this toner has a high concentration of AHAs, we use this toner at night after cleansing.
This toner is a workhorse skincare product. We recommend this product to anyone that wants to increase skin cell turnover for brighter and smoother skin. Those with very sensitive skin may want to skip this toner or only use it every other night.
The Transform Plus Collection
The OLEHENRIKSEN Transform Plus Collection fights all major signs of aging, with natural ingredients.
This face mask works like a facial, with potent PHAs and Nordic birch sap to exfoliate, illuminate, and brighten skin. Upon application, the mask is pink but turns white once it has been activating by messaging it.
If you’ve read our post about Drunk Elephant, you know we love the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial. But if you are familiar with the product, you know the DE product can be too harsh for sensitive skin. We love that the Phat Glow is gentle enough for sensitive skin. So while not a dupe for the Babyfacial we found is it a great alternative.
This mask is great for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin. Suitable for most skin types, those with extremely sensitive skin may want to proceed with caution.
