If you are reading this, you’ve probably seen OLEHENRIKSEN pop-up on Sephora or maybe you’ve seen the brand on Instagram and you want to learn more. Or maybe you want to know if the Phat Glow mask is an alternative for the Drunk Elephant Babyfacial.
If any of the above is true, then you are in the right place. In this post, I am going to share our favorite products from the brand and why I like them.
OLEHENRIKSEN Skincare Review
These reviews will be as detailed as possible so you can make an informed decision before making a purchase.
Currently, the brand has a number of collections: Truth (which includes the Banana Bright products), Balance, Transform, and Transform Plus.
Truth Juice™ Daily Cleanser
This cleanser has a unique gel-cream consistency that is orange in color.
I love to use this at night to cleanse our skin and to prep the face for the rest of our evening skincare routine. While some reviews mention that the smell is too strong, I love the refreshing citrus scent.
This is a great cleanser making it perfect for those with dry, normal, and oily skin.
This Vitamin C serum contains collagen and aloe juice to brighten while also nourishing and hydrating the skin. Again this product from the Truth line has the signature citrus scent.
This is a great entry-level vitamin C serum that is effective yet not too hard on sensitive skin. Use this serum in the morning after cleansing but before applying moisturizer.
Anyone that is looking to venture into Vitamin C serums should try this product. It is well suited for all skin types.
Banana Bright Eye Crème
This eye cream uses Vitamin C, collagen, and special pigments to brighten and hydrate the skin while minimizing the appearance of dark circles. It is specially formulated to work well under makeup without pilling.
I love love love this eye cream. While it works well under concealer, I love it on no-makeup days too.
This is a great eye cream for those wanting to look fresh and awake. It isn’t the most hydrating, so you may want to use a more nourishing cream at night.
Pore-Balance™ Facial Sauna Scrub
This pore-refining facial scrub is formulated with glycolic and lactic acids to deeply purify pores and absorb excess oil.
This is hands down one of our favorite scrubs. The peppermint in the mask leaves us feeling more awake. The warm/cool sensation is equally invigorating.
While marketed towards those with combination or oily skin, this product works for all skin types. It is a great scrub to gently remove impurities, reduce oil production, and help with skin turnover.
Cold Plunge Pore Mask
This detoxifying, cooling clay mask reduces the look of pores, smooths skin texture, and controls oil all day.
The bright color of this mask and the deep cleaning chill makes this a super fun mask to use. I like to use this mask in the summer when my skin is oilier and more congested.
This is a great mask for anyone to use, but is particularly great for congested skin.
Glow2OH™ Dark Spot Toner
This brightening toner uses a high concentration of AHAs and witch hazel to reduce the look of dark spots. It also contains licorice root, chamomile, and sandalwood to help soothe and condition the skin.
Once I heard this was a game-changer for those with discoloration and acne scars, I had to try it.
This toner is a workhorse skincare product. I recommend it to anyone that wants brighter and smoother skin. Those with very sensitive skin may want to skip this toner.
Lemonade Smoothing Scrub
The Lemonade Scrub is a refreshing, exfoliating scrub that reduces the size of pores and smoothes the skin with AHAs, lemon peel, and sugar.
I was apprehensive about trying a smoothing scrub since it can be rough on the skin. Since this scrub is made with ultra-fine granules, it is not rough on the skin.
If you have issues with dehydrated or flakey skin, you will enjoy this gentle but effective scrub.
Dewtopia™ 20% Acid Night Treatment
This nightly serum is formulated with a powerful 20 percent acid blend (10 percent AHAs and 10 percent PHAs), aloe juice, birch sap, and cotton water, which help to nourish and support the skin.
I was so excited about this product that I ordered it the day it was released. I love the mixture of AHA and PHA because it is less likely to cause irritation while also offering two different types of exfoliation. Overall, I really loved this serum. I plan to use it a couple of nights a week on days that I don’t use retinol.
If you are new to using acids, start off by using this serum one to two nights a week.
PHAT Glow Facial™ Mask
This face mask works like a facial, with potent PHAs and Nordic birch sap to exfoliate, illuminate, and brighten skin.
If you’ve read this post about Drunk Elephant, you know I love the T.L.C. Sukari Babyfacial. But the DE product can be a bit too harsh. The Phat Glow Facial is a great option for those that need something a bit more gentle.
This mask is great for normal, dry, combination, and oily skin.
