Dry cracked winter lips are not a good look on anyone. Plus when they get really bad, they can be painful and that is no fun. Thankfully with a good lip balm, those dreaded painful lips can be avoided.
The key, of course, is in not letting your lips get too dry in the first place and making sure to exfoliate them on a regular basis with a srub.
To keep them from getting dry you need a good, moisturizing lip balm. Here we have put together a list of our top favorites and why we like them.
Our Top Lip Balms
LANEIGE Lip Glowy Balm | When this lip balm was released I didn’t want to buy it. After all, $15 was a lot of money to spend on something I usually lose in my purse. But one day I was waiting in line at Sephora and this lip balm called out to me. I just couldn’t resist. I picked up the grapefruit flavor and I haven’t regretted it for a second.
Milk KUSH Lip Gloss | I wasn’t sure if I was going to include this one because I am still on the fence about hemp and CBD products. While I’m not jumping on the bandwagon, I do really like this lip gloss. I prefer to use it when I am at home as a pre-makeup lip mask since it is a bit thick and goopy.
Fresh Sugar Lip Caramel Hydrating Balm | I know this is an unpopular opinion but I prefer this balm over the sugar lip treatment. This balm comes in a variety of scents, some of which are only seasonal. I have a mini version of the caramel but I would love to try the coconut version as well.
Burt’s Bees Tinted Lip Balm | Of course, I can’t make a list of the best lip balms without including Burt’s Bees. I like that it has a very subtle amount of color. My favorite shade is Rose but all of them are equally lovely. Plus you can’t beat the price.
LANEIGE Lip Sleeping Mask | Okay so this one isn’t exactly a lip balm but it is essential for keeping your lips soft and smooth this winter. A little bit goes a long way so don’t be thrown by the $20 price tag.
