Do you want soft, manageable, shiny hair? Who am I kidding? Of course you do! A good leave in conditioner can help detangle knots, tame frizz, smooth curls, and protect your hair from damage.
Because I have thin hair that will tangle up if you look at it, I have tried a large number of leave in conditioners. I’ll share my favorites with you and help you pick the perfect leave in conditioner for your hair concerns.

This is my budget leave-in conditioner pick since it can be purchased at several retailers for around $5. There is a slight fragrance but it isn’t very strong and dissipates quickly. This leave in conditioner does not offer UV protection. If you spend a lot of time in the sun, this might not be the best pick for you.
This 3 in 1 treatment detangles, conditions, and has UV protection. This leave in conditioner has a strong summer smell from the coconut and sunflower oil. If you have dry hair and love tropical smelling products, you will love this product. For those with thin or oily hair, I’d advise you to use a light hand so your hair doesn’t end up greasy.
This product is especially designed for people with fine hair. It works to moisturize and detangle without weighing hair down. It is full of natural ingredients and free of sulfates and parabens. This spray does have a very strong smell that lingers, so if you are sensitive to smells you may want to skip it. If you love to use products with macadamia and argan oils, this is the spray for you.
This lightweight conditioner strengthens strands, adds natural shine and body, and provides UV protection. It is also silicone-free and formulated for color and chemically treated hair. If you can’t tell from my enthusiasm this is one of my favorites on the list. While I don’t think it smells bad, some reviewers complained about the scent.
While technically called a mask, it acts as a leave in. It repairs and prevents breakage, restores hydration, detangles, and adds shine. Additionally, this leave-in mask is vegan, cruelty-free, and formulated without gluten, DEA, silicone, or artificial dyes. If you have very dry hair you would want to use this product in addition to a normal in shower conditioner. Those with fine hair, the lightweight mist formula is perfect for you.
These are currently my top 5 recommendations for leave in conditioners. Not only are they great for your hair, they are also great time savers too. After a quick towel dry, I just spray it in. After my normal morning beauty routine, I just brush my hair out. You can dry your hair as normal or even air dry if that is your thing.
