Happy New Year! I am so excited that you are here following Feisty Life Media into the new year. Last year things got a bit derailed around here but we plan to get things back on track for 2020. To start we have chosen a word to lead us for the next 365 days. This year’s word is Intentional. Honestly, I can’t think of any other word that can better guide both my personal life and the content direction of this site.

I spent a lot of the last year being busy but not getting much done because I wasn’t being intentional with what I was doing and how I was spending my time. This year, I want to bring more intention in my life. I want to do fewer things that aren’t important and really be present for the things that truly matter.

Intentional 2020

Be intentional, start with less.

Working from intentional our theme for January is Less. Less might seem like an odd word to guide our month when everyone seems to be wanting to do more, go more, earn more, or be more. But this month by stressing less, having less, buying less, we are really making room for more of the good things in life.

We are going to kick off our year of being intentional and our month of less with a yearly reset. First, we will reset our spaces by having less stuff and less mess. Then we will clear our minds and have fewer distractions.

I hope you are as excited as we are for what it is to come in 2020. If you would like to see more behind the scenes with this month’s theme, feel free to follow along on Instagram.

PS. I’d love to hear about your goals for the new year in the comments below, and any tips that have helped you bring more intention into your day to day life. Leave a note and let me know!

I try not to plan anything at the beginning of the year…but my goals are (more or less) always the same even if I want to do more for others this year and spend my energies in what really matters x

I love that you’re doing less when everyone is trying to be so busy. I agree that being intentional is better than being busy.

Intentional is such a great word for 2020! It really encompasses so much. So often I have to decide to be intentional in a specific moment or during a particular decision. Learning how to incorporate intention into more of my every day would be great.
