I cannot believe that Fourth of July is just around the corner. The weather here in the PNW is getting warmer and drier so we are taking advantage of it. Of course who wants to cook in the kitchen when the weather is just perfect for grilling. What better way to celebrate than grilling up these Hawaiian Teriyaki Turkey Burgers!
Since grilling season started here, I have grilled at least once a week and sometimes twice. Lately, I have been on a turkey burger kick. I just love how the turkey tastes so good with other flavors. Of all the turkey burgers combos I have put together, I like this one the best. It takes almost no time at all and it is super yummy.
These Grilled Hawaiian Teriyaki Turkey Burgers take almost no time to make because I start with JENNIE-O® 1/3 lb. All White Turkey Burgers. I love teriyaki so it really just made sense to put it on my burger. I don’t have a ton of time, so I opted to use a pre-made teriyaki sauce. All I do is slather it on the side that I’ve already grilled so that it doesn’t burn. To add even more flavor, I grilled up some red onions and pineapple slices. After checking to make sure the burgers have reached 165°F, I topped them with cheese and served them on lettuce to be a bit more carb conscious. You could totally serve it on a nice toasty bun if you wanted.
