As I mentioned earlier this month, I am focusing on self care. To fulfill the physical dimension of self care, I am focusing on improving my health though diet and exercise. I am trying a new group class and I have revamped my diet. While I have all the gear I need, I am going to share some of my favorite get fit picks.
If you want to look cute but still covered, there are tons of athletic wear options. I really like the look of the mesh panels on these Nike bottoms. If Nike isn’t your thing, Gap also has a really nice pair. Calvin Klein and Zella have really cute options in plus sizes.
I don’t like shirts that are too clingy when I work out, so I am drawn to this Nike Tank. If you are on a budget, Old Navy has a tops that are super cute and affordable.
You might have noticed I have a thing for black athletic gear. While I love the black, these shoes come in a variety of colors. I also really like these and these.
I own this scale and I love it. It connects to an app on my smart phone so I can see the trends in my weight gain and losses. It is a bit of investment, but it is worth the price. I’ve also heard great things about this scale.
When it comes to working out, I am not very good at coming up with a workout routine. I prefer to either use the elliptical or take classes. Of course, I’m one of those back row lurkers. I always try to find the spot where I can just blend in.
For those that can’t go to the gym or studio, there are tons of at home options. Not being in the best shape, I stick to the easier workout videos. I’m really loving this Barre3 DVD. If you want a good ab workout and a good laugh check out Hip Hop Abs. I also really love Jillian Michael’s 30 Day Shred.
I’m always on the lookout for the newest and the best products available. Is there a brand of athletic gear or a workout that you love? I’d love to hear your recommendations.
