If you follow me on Instagram (you totally should, btw), you may remember me doing a post where I asked you which Fresh products I should try. Well, I am finally finished testing all of the products I was able to get my hands on. Want to know what I loved and what I won’t be using again? Then keep reading.
For this brand review, I tried 10 different products by Fresh. I would have loved to try more, but their products can be a bit expensive. Should I try more in the future, I will update this post. That’s enough intro, let’s go on to the reviews.
Fresh Skincare Products I Tested
The Soy Face Cleanser face wash was my introduction to the brand. I highly this cleanser for any skin type. It is gentle enough for sensitive skin and leaves the skin feeling clean but not overly clean.
As soon as this prodcut was released, I knew I needed to to try it. Their is a bit of a grainy texture to this wash but it is so fine, you don’t need to worry about it stripping your skin. It leaves the skin feeling soft and smooth and there is no residue.
I started getting into essences last year. Before that, I wasn’t really sure what purpose they served. Now I am a convert. The black tea essence from Fresh is really great and has made it to my top 3 must have essences. It helps to hydrate the skin, leaving your face feeling softer and smoother with continued use.
This was the only moisturizer I was able to try from the brand. As the name implies, this cream smells of roses. I don’t mind the smell of roses, plus the scent doesn’t linger very long. However, I was not a fan of this moisturizer. The deep hydration formula is just a bit too thick for my liking. In the summer this would be too much for my combination skin. Who should pick this product up? Anyone with dry skin and some with combination skin might enjoy this moisturizer.
Of all the products I tested, this is the one I had to stop using after a few days. To Fresh’s credit, I have a hard time with de-puffing eye creams in general. This cream left the under eye looking good at first, but then the skin under the eye started to develop crusty dry patches at the two-day mark. For me, this is a hard pass. I’d only recommend this product for occasional use or if you have nonreactive skin.
After trying the eye cream, I was a bit terrified to use this mask. Thankfully, my fears were unfounded. This mask is AMAZING. It left my skin feeling soft and I had the most amazing glow. The only downside to this mask is the price, as it is pretty expensive. However, if you are wanting to treat yourself to a Fresh mask, the Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask is the one I would pick.
This mask looks and smells amazing. Some reviews noted issues with burning, but I didn’t have that problem with this mask, thankfully. For the price, I was pretty underwhelmed. I guess I was expecting a bit more hydration.
I love anything citrus, so I am not surprised that I enjoyed this mask. The texture and chunks might seem strange at first, but it shouldn’t keep you from trying the mask. Personally, I like that it left my skin feeling smoother and softer. My one qualm about this mask is that a jar doesn’t last as long as I would like. Unless you are super sensitive to citrus, I would recommend it for all skin types.
This product came in a set that I purchased, otherwise, this is not a product that I would normally buy. Ultimately the product does work, but it isn’t one that I would buy again. I just can’t justify the price.
I had heard a ton about these cute lip products from all of you on Instagram. I love that it is easy to apply and that it comes in a wide range of shades. However, I just can’t bring myself to pay this price for a tinted chapstick. I have two shades which are nice. I’ll use them but I won’t be repurchasing. I’d rather put the money toward one of the fresh masks.
Since I was slightly underwhelmed by the lip treatment, I decided to only purchase a small size of this product. I was pleasantly surprised when I tried this product. I love how it smells and it feels great when I apply it. I wish they could make something like this in a squeeze tube so I don’t have to stick my fingers in it. If caramel isn’t your thing, they have a coconut option as well.
Final Thoughts On Fresh Skin Care
I was able to test 10 different products, but really wish I could try more. I’d really like to try the Crème Ancienne® Ultimate Nourishing Honey Mask or the Lotus Youth Preserve Rescue Mask. Both have great reviews; but like a lot of Fresh products, they are pretty pricey.
Of all the fresh skincare products I tested, here are my top 3: Black Tea Kombucha Antioxidant Essence, Black Tea Instant Perfecting Mask, and the Vitamin C Glow Mask.
