When it comes to building a wardrobe, I am a firm believer in quality over quantity. I’d rather have a few pieces that last several years than have a closet full of clothes that will only make it through a handful of wears. Not only is it better for your wallet in the long run, but it is also better for the environment to purchase fewer things.
All of that being said, I know that building a wardrobe is expensive. Sweaters, coats, and boots are some of the most costly pieces to buy. So to help you make the most of your clothing budget, I pulled together this collection of fall fashion finds under $100.
Making The Most Of Your Budget
While shopping on a budget, you should make a list of the pieces you are wanting to purchase for the season. Make sure to get the essentials first like outwear before you buy something fun like a third pair of boots. I know this isn’t the most fun way to shop, but at least you know you will have what you need.
I also recommend waiting for sales to shop. With the frequent sales brands have these days, you don’t need to pay full price. Most brands will have at least one 20% off sale each season.
Also, don’t be afraid to buy things second-hand. I’ve purchased tons of new items on ThredUp and Poshmark.
