It is time for another brand review! For this review, I tried several products from the French, clean beauty brand Caudalie. I will admit that I had already been using several products for a couple of years, this post was a great excuse to try some more of their luxurious products.
In this post, I will break down the products by the different lines within Caudalie and share my experience with each of the products I’ve tried. I’ll also give you my top picks and let you know who I think would benefit from using each product. So, whether you’re new to Caudalie or looking to add some new products to your skincare routine, keep reading.
About Caudalie
Caudalie is a French skincare brand that was founded in 1995 by Mathilde and Bertrand Thomas. Inspired by the antioxidant benefits of grape seeds and grapevines, the Thomas family created a line of skincare products that harness the power of natural ingredients to protect and nourish the skin.
Caudalie’s mission is to provide luxurious, effective, and environmentally friendly skincare products that are inspired by nature. They are committed to using natural and eco-friendly ingredients and avoid using synthetic ingredients or animal testing. Caudalie also strives to reduce their environmental impact by using recycled packaging materials and implementing sustainable manufacturing practices.
In addition to their commitment to sustainability and natural ingredients, Caudalie is also known for their philanthropic efforts. The company has partnered with several organizations to support reforestation, marine conservation, and other environmental causes.
Vinoperfect
Vinoperfect is Caudalie’s best-selling collection, designed to visibly brighten and even skin tone. With Caudalie’s patented routine, this collection targets the appearance of dark spots on all levels of pigmentation to achieve a more radiant, even complexion.
Vinoperfect Radiance Dark Spot Serum
Vinoperfect Radiance Dark Spot Serum is a highly effective serum that targets all visible discolorations including sunspots, acne spots, hyperpigmentation, and melasma. It is suitable for all skin tones and types, including sensitive skin. Formulated with a sun-safe alternative to vitamin C, this serum visibly reduces the appearance of dark spots after using as little as one bottle.
My review: As a long-time user of the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, I can attest to its ability to improve the radiance of my skin and fade acne scars with regular use. I appreciate that this serum is gentle enough for my sensitive skin, unlike most Vitamin C serums. Its Viniferine-based formula is a great alternative that effectively targets dark spots without causing any irritation. I highly recommend this serum to anyone seeking a more even and radiant complexion.
Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence
Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence is a natural brightening facial treatment that gently eliminates dead cells and improves complexion dullness to reveal brighter, more radiant-looking skin. This essence is enriched with exfoliating glycolic acid, brightening white peony, and hydrating grape water to visibly reduce the appearance of dark spots while refining skin texture. With its delicate, natural orange blossom fragrance, this essence provides an instant sensation of freshness, leaving skin supple and hydrated.
My review: This Vinoperfect Brightening Glycolic Essence is a good option if you’re looking for a chemical exfoliant to help remove dead skin cells. However, it is pricier than most glycolic toners, and I’m not entirely sure if the added expense is worth it. Personally, I prefer using hydrating products over exfoliating ones, so this essence isn’t my top choice.
Premier Cru
Caudalie’s Premier Cru collection is a comprehensive anti-aging skincare line that aims to correct the 8 signs of aging, including wrinkles, fine lines, dark spots, radiance, firmness, elasticity, volume, and hydration.
Premier Cru Anti-Aging Serum with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid
Premier Cru Anti-Aging Serum with Niacinamide and Hyaluronic Acid, also known as Premier Cru The Serum, is a luxurious serum that targets the 8 key signs of aging. The serum is enriched with tightening plant sugars for an immediate firming effect that can be seen in just three minutes and lasts up to six hours. With continued use, skin is left smoother, more radiant, and visibly plumped with hydration.
My review: I used to be a big fan of this anti-aging serum, but unfortunately, the recent reformulation includes an ingredient that causes my skin to turn red. As a result, I cannot currently recommend this product. However, if you do not have sensitive skin, your experience may differ.
Premier Cru Skin Barrier Rich Moisturizer with Bio-Ceramides
The Premier Cru Skin Barrier Rich Moisturizer with Bio-Ceramides, also known as the Premier Cru The Rich Cream, is a luxurious moisturizer that is formulated to visibly repair the skin barrier and reduce the appearance of wrinkles. Its powerful blend of anti-aging ingredients includes TET8™ Patent, bio-ceramides, and hyaluronic acid, which work together to provide deep hydration, nourishment, and protection for the skin.
My review: As my skin has aged, I’ve noticed increased dryness and dehydration, prompting the need for a richer moisturizer. The Premier Cru Skin Barrier Rich Moisturizer by Caudalie is precisely what I’ve been searching for. It provides the perfect level of moisture to combat my dry skin, especially during the winter season. During summer, I prefer using it as a nighttime moisturizer. While it does carry the signature Caudalie fragrance, the scent dissipates quickly and doesn’t cause any irritation to my skin.
Premier Cru Anti-Aging Eye Cream for Fine Lines and Wrinkles
The Premier Cru Anti-Aging Eye Cream for Fine Lines and Wrinkles is an all-in-one eye cream that has been developed to target the key concerns of the eye area: wrinkles, puffiness, and dark circles. The cooling metal applicator and natural pearlizers work to brighten and depuff the area around the eyes, leaving the skin looking more radiant and refreshed. This fragrance-free eye cream is gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types, making it an excellent choice for anyone looking to reduce the signs of aging in the delicate eye area.
My review: I used to use this eye cream regularly, but the new reformulation and packaging have left me disappointed. The metal applicator is not as hygienic as the old pump packaging, and the thick cream is difficult to spread with the applicator. I wish they had kept the old packaging and formula as it was much more effective and user-friendly.
Resveratrol-Lift
The Resveratrol-Lift collection is a cutting-edge line of skincare products designed to naturally lift and plump the skin. Created in collaboration with Dr. David Sinclair, this collection features a new, exclusive anti-aging patent that combines Resveratrol, Hyaluronic Acid, and a Vegan Collagen Alternative.
Resveratrol Lift Retinol Alternative Firming Cashmere Moisturizer
The Resveratrol Lift Retinol Alternative Firming Cashmere Moisturizer is a daily anti-aging moisturizer that visibly firms and reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles. Infused with patented resveratrol, hyaluronic acid, and a vegan collagen alternative, this moisturizer is designed to lift and provide a more youthful appearance. The formula features mineral pearlizers for an instant glow and has a soft and luxurious texture that leaves the skin feeling moisturized.
My review: After loving SkinCeuticals’ Resveratrol BE, I was excited to try Caudalie’s Resveratrol product. However, I found it to be quite thick and difficult to layer. Although marketed as a daytime moisturizer, I prefer to use it as a night cream due to its thickness. I would suggest this as a night cream option for individuals with drier skin types.
Vinergetic C+
The Vinergetic C+ Collection is a specially formulated skincare line that utilizes the power of vitamin C and other natural ingredients to effectively brighten and energize tired, lackluster skin.
Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask
The Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask is a natural clay mask that helps to improve the appearance of stressed skin in just 10 minutes. It is designed to draw out visible impurities and excess sebum, refining texture, tightening pores, and leaving the complexion looking luminous. Infused with natural upcycled grapes, sustainably sourced pink clay, and natural caffeine, this mask provides antioxidant benefits, deeply cleanses, and visibly smooths the skin.
My review: For anyone looking for a reliable face mask, I highly recommend the Pore Minimizing Instant Detox Mask. What sets it apart is that it effectively cleans out my pores without making my skin feel too tight, and it’s easy to wash off. I also appreciate that it lasts a long time, making it a great value for the price. I highly recommend this mask for those with acne-prone or congested skin, and even though I don’t have much acne, I like to keep it on hand just in case.
Vinosource-Hydra
Vinosource-Hydra Collection is specifically designed to provide deep hydration to the skin. The collection features a unique blend of grape water, hyaluronic acid, and antioxidants to soothe and nourish dry, sensitive skin.
Vinosource-Hydra Moisturizing Sorbet
The Vinosource-Hydra Moisturizing Sorbet is a cream moisturizer that’s perfect for hydrating even the most sensitive skin. The ultra-soothing formula contains prebiotic grape water that nourishes the skin’s microbiome, while Chamomile helps soothe and visibly reduce redness caused by dryness.
My review: As someone with sensitive, dehydrated skin, I was eager to try the Moisturizing Sorbet. However, I found it to be on the heavier side, despite the claim of being lightweight. It left my skin feeling greasy, not hydrated. Because it is on the heavier side, I would only recommend it to those with dry skin.
Caudalie Beauty Elixer
Beauty Elixir Prep, Set, Glow Face Mist
The Beauty Elixir is a versatile face mist that is well-known in the beauty industry. It can be used as a skin prep or makeup setting spray, or simply to refresh and invigorate the skin with its natural mint, rose, and rosemary scent.
My review: I put off trying the Caudalie Beauty Elixir for years, thinking it might make my skin greasy. But I was pleasantly surprised – it’s actually a refreshing spray that gives my skin a nice hydration boost. The herbal/medicinal scent is a bit strong, but it doesn’t stick around for long. Overall, it’s a great product and I’d recommend it to anyone looking to treat themselves to a fancy face mist.
Overall Thoughts on Caudalie
I really love Caudalie. From the chic packaging to the natural fragrances and unique formulas, the whole experience is just luxurious. Of course, luxury comes with a hefty price tag, but I think some of their products are worth the splurge. I’m definitely planning to try more Caudalie products and will update this post as I do.
If I had to pick only three products from the brand, I would buy:

I’ve got sensitive skin and I need to up my anti aging, radiance boosting game, do you think Caudalie is the brand for me? I love French skin care and need a complete overhaul. X
Hayley,
Caudalie makes lovely products though they are a bit expensive. I’d recommend picking up a small set from Sephora to make sure it agrees with your skin before investing in full-size products. I would highly recommend the Vinoperfect Radiance Serum, especially if you find your skin is too sensitive for stronger acids. Skincare is so personal so I can’t be any more specific without knowing more about your skin issues.
