Summer will be here before we know it. That means two weeks ago was the time to start shopping for shorts. Since time is of the essence, I combed the internet for the best plus-size shorts. Just pick the ones you want to try. Again, don’t wait too long to start shopping. Finding the right pair, ordering them, trying them on, and doing exchanges through the mail can take weeks. You don’t want summer to come around to find all of the shorts are sold out.
Denim Plus-Size Shorts
You can’t go wrong with a classic pair of denim shorts. They come in every cut and color imaginable and they go with everything.
Women’s High-Rise Split Hem Jean Shorts
This is a great basic pair of shorts. The small split on the hem makes them more comfortable in the thigh when sitting.
Mid Rise A-Line Short
Don’t sleep on Abercrombie. They now offer denim in sizes to fit 24W.
Katy Boyfriend Shorts
Kut from the Kloth makes great plus size denim. Save money on this brand by shopping at Nordstrom Rack.
Linen Shorts
If you have sworn off denim for the rest of the year as I have, you’ll love these comfy linen shorts. Linen shorts are nice because they can be dressed up a bit with a nice top or worn casually with a cotton t-shirt.
Women’s High-Rise Linen Pull-On Shorts
These shorts from Target are not pure linen, but a linen blend. However, the price is great enough to overlook that.
100% European Linen Shorts
These shorts from Quice look and feel more expensive than they are. Plus, they are real linen.
High-Waisted Beach Linen Pull-On Shorts
This is another linen short that is actually a blend. I do wish Old Navy had kept the old linen shorts with the drawstring, but they have been discontinued.
Athletic Shorts
If you are opting for a super casual vibe or if you plan on breaking a sweat this summer, you need a good pair of athletic shorts.
High-Waisted Bounce Fleece Shorts
If you like the bounce fleece sweatpants, you will love the shorts version. They are comfy and casual.
Nike Crossover
If you are looking for a pair of basketball shorts, you can’t go wrong with Nike. Even for basketball shorts, the hip and thigh are more fitted than oversized.
Varley Plus Adler High-Rise Shorts
These shorts are more expensive, but the quality it top notch. Varley normally doesn’t sell plus size, so this is a unique find.
